Company Of Men Dinner For Eight Prayer Chain
Company Of Men
A group of men supporting eachother through friendship, storytelling and mutual encouragement. This group is for those who resist the lone wolf style of personal growth and seek companions on the journey toward authentic living. The group meets every second Saturday of the month, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. All men are welcome.

Dinner For Eight
Dinners for Eight enters its third year in 2010/2011, and there are many participants who have been with us since the first year. This year, Daniel and I were fortunate enough to be paired with Barb & Dave D., Jesse T. & Jen G. and their son Omar, as well as Jean S. and Bernice P.
We’ve had some firsts this year: our first “Lunches for Eight” that turned into lunch for six when Barb & Dave were unexpectedly sick, and our first dinner guest who doesn’t carry a conversation… yet! And some traditions never cease, including Daniel and I inflicting an untried dessert on our dinner group.
Dinners for Eight has led us to conversations about American citizenship, the Vietnam War, traveling with a gaggle of children on an equal number of passports, working at a mission on the streets of downtown Toronto, and that’s just the first two we’ve had this year! We heartily recommend Dinners for Eight as a way to get motivated to unpack the boxes after a move and get ready to host guests—we’ve moved twice in the last three years, and, both times, have hosted Dinners for Eight shortly after our move.
In short, Dinners for Eight is a wonderful opportunity to meet new friends and discover a side of the people sitting in the pew you won’t get to see in church.

Heather W.Prayer Chain
The Prayer Chain coordinates our prayer support for those who have asked for our prayers. Some of these prayers are included in our Sunday worship, some are confidential and therefore discreet. Either way, we are often privileged to witness the true power of prayer.
