St. Stephen's welcomed the King's Own Calgary Regiment Parade on April 22 2007 - St. George's Day

Members of the 14th Armoured Regiment (King's Own Calgary Regiment) expressed interest in the plans to build a new church in the 1950s.
St. Stepehn's had long been associated with the unit and it was thought fitting to include a Memorial Chapel dedicated to those who had served.
Members of the regiment contributed generously to the cost of this memorial.
The regiment used to parade on St. George's Day, but the custom died out until April 22 of this year.
Due to the efforts of parishioner Dick Roach, a parade was once again held, complete with swords and march past.
